PR for a Happy Ending
One of the best trends - ever: "Happy Ending" The silver lining of each downturn. In their latest briefing, trendwatching.com identified this as one of the hottest trends for 2009. Basically, it's about companies connecting with their audiences, using this time to innovate (hey, most of us have said at one time or another that we work better under pressure), and adjusting product lines or services to match what clients truly need and expect.
If you are doing these things, does your audience know? North Star Marketing is working with clients on year-end messages reinforcing their brand's differentiation, USP and positioning. By the way, each message has a call to action and an ROI attached.
Public Relations is a great way to interact with your audience. Traditional PR tactics use the power of a third-party 'gatekeeper' to convey your message. Interactive PR allows you to talk to your audience directly via social media outlets like blogs, LinkedIn Groups and YouTube; online press release distribution; an online news room; and informative podcasts. Interactive PR tactics can allow more control over the message and provide a more immediate and direct response.
Public relations tactics also reinforce and enhance the other marketing efforts within to your touchpoint campaign.
